I was so tickled when an old coworker of mine, Yana Michukova, reached out to me for an interview on her Substack, Beyond Linear, about my experience working in Tech, leaving Tech, returning to Tech, and book writing through all of it.
Beyond Linear.
It’s the perfect title. I love it.
Is that not the essence of what it means to navigate this bizarre little life? This absolute tomfoolery we try to force into a straight line?
How desperately we try to shoehorn what was always meant to bend and twist? How disorienting it is when we realize that’s simply not going to work, and we need to start venturing beyond our comfort zone, down trails that disappear around curves?
Being interviewed by Yana made me realize how few answers I have marched towards conclusively in life, but also, how many questions I have enjoyed slowly wandering through, raking my fingers in, along the way.
Check out the interview :)
